Even minor characters in the novel are visual from the moment they come on scene.Whether it"s a fudgeshop owner, a retired school principal, or the local sheriff, you can see the nuances of expression and hear the inflection in their individual voices as if you"d lived on mackinac island yourself for years and know them quite well.
